Katherine Marie Heigl, was born in November 24, 1978 in Washington DC. This green-eyed, 5'9” beauty started her career when she was about 9 years old when her aunt, who happens to be living in New York, sent her photos to a number of modeling agencies where she became a child model after then.
Her first debut in a magazine advertisement was for Sears & Lord & Taylor catalogs. Her modeling paved way for her acting career. Her first appearance on TV was for the Cheerios cereal commercial. Her first feature film debut then followed in 1992, The Night.
Movie offers came her way. She was best known because of her roles in the alien TV series of Roswell, acting as Isabel Evans and currently, in her breakthrough role in the medical drama series of 'Grey's Anatomy,' acting as Dr. Isobel "Izzie" Stevens.
