Rachel McAdams was born on 7 October, 1976. She was born to a truck driver and a nurse in London, Ontario, Canada. She started out her acting in Canadian television before graduating to Hollywood features. In her early acting career, she specializes in bitchy teen's roles. Such dramatic skills paved her way later to comedies like "The Hot Chick" and "Mean Girls". McAdams made her feature debut in "My Name is Tanino" and following that she was nominated for a Genie award (the Canadian equivalent of an Oscar) for her performance in Perfect Pie, 2002, where she cast as a small-town girl whose best friend makes the big time by becoming a celebrated opera singer.
