Sophia Vergara was born on July 10, 1972, in Barranquilla, Colombia. Since childhood, she was extremely close to her family, which consisted of five brothers and sisters and many cousins. Since childhood, Sofia took school very seriously and studied a lot. In her spare time she would listen to music (her favorite group being 'Menudo'). She loved dancing and playing instruments. She was very playful since childhood and spent a lot of time on her father's farm, where she swam in the river and rode horses. Sofia made her first public appearance at the age of 17 in a Pepsi commercial that was widely telecast all over Latin America. Sofia is the former host of the popular travel show 'Fuera de Serie' on Univision and a goddess in many Latin countries. She is even known as the 'Latin queen of the Internet'.
